Basic French

Our basic courses in French are taught by native speakers who have a lot of experience teaching French in Europe and in India. At the basic level, you will learn to read and write, to introduce yourself, to ask and answer simple questions, to make requests and express wishes and to talk about actions in the past, present, and future. By the end of this course, students can expect to reach a proficiency level of A1 or A2 on the CEFR scale.

Intermediate French

Following an introduction to the most important aspects of French grammar, this intensive group course examines the simple, clear language of iconic French comic books, or bandes desinées, like The Adventures of Tintin, to help students acquire essential vocabulary and gain confidence in French grammatical constructions.

Students eager to begin studying French will not only benefit from learning to read stories that, although simple, are aimed at a native speaker. They will also become acquainted with a distinctive piece of French culture – respected nearly as much as French cinema and literature! Taught by a native French speaker, students will walk away from this course able to communicate comfortable in most conversational settings and achieve a proficiency level of B1 or B2 on the CEFR scale.

Ali takes a common sense approach to language instruction, getting down to basics and refusing to cut corners. He takes his students under his wing and is as vested in their success as they are. The student’s success is his success and he will stop short of nothing to assure they reach their goal. Thank you Ali!
